Catherine Howey Awarded 1st Place in VA GIS Conference

Catherine Howey, intern for Blacksburg Transit and the NRV Metropolitan Planning Organization, (NRV-MPO), was awarded first place for her poster, "Development of a Regional Transit GIS Portal" at the 25th annual Virginia GIS Conference in Richmond held on Sept. 16. Howey's poster showcased the MPO-funded Regional GIS Transit Portal, a website dedicated to transit mapping information, including regional bus stops and routes. Click here to read the news release.
