Stakeholders from across the New River Valley recently collaborated to develop a Regional Transit Study for the New River Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The primary focus of the study is on overlapping public transportation service bus stops. More than 800 survey responses were collected between April 2015 and February 2016. Survey responses were utilized in conjunction with case studies, researched planning/policy guidance, and feedback from subject experts to develop the draft study. On March 15, 2016 the Regional Transit Coordinating Council developed and prioritized a 3-year and 6-year action plan to enhance each overlapping service stop location.
The NRV MPO would like to invite you to review and comment on the draft study. More information about this project and a link to submit input is available online.
Please share this link with others and encourage their input. The Public Comment period will close on April 15, 2016.
