James was born and raised in Suffolk, Virginia located in Hampton Roads. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Business Leadership from Virginia Tech. James began as an intern for the Regional Commission in January 2016 and was brought on as a full-time employee in July 2016. In his role as Regional Planner James will be planning and coordinating the 2017 Virginia’s Outdoor Lovers Expo, working on the Building Collaborative Communities grant project, as well as maintaining the NRV Data Dashboard.
