Are You Part of the Podcast Craze?

Well, the New River/Mount Rogers Workforce Development Board is!  Their podcast Work Talk has been having great results with sharing workforce related information to listeners from all over the Commonwealth (and some from around the country, and, well, a few from around the world, too).

Work Talk has had guest speakers from regional businesses, economic development, and from workforce program providers talking about subjects and issues that are important to the economic and workforce health of the region.

Work Talk can be listened to via your computer. Just head to the NR/MR Workforce Development Board home page at www.vcwNewRiverMtRogers.com, click on the podcast icon in the upper right corner, and it will take you to the page where you’ll see all the available podcasts listed.

But if you want to take the podcast with you and listen from your phone or other mobile device, then you can download the Work Talk app from iTunes and Google Play.

Of course there are lots of podcasts out there, and listening to podcasts has great personal benefit. You can:

  1. Be more creative by listening to inspiring subjects (and get some great ideas).
  2. Stay informed in a quick and easy way.
  3. Improve your knowledge on a variety of subjects.
  4. Escape and listen just for fun.
  5. Optimize your time while commuting or waiting for an appointment.

We hope you will give Work Talk a listen whether you are new to the podcast craze or are a podcast listening pro.
