The Regional Commission has been awarded a grant from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality(DEQ) to advance Phase 2 of the Crab Creek Stormwater Beautification Project. Building on earlier efforts, this phase will continue to implement Best Management Practices (BMPs) that include increasing tree canopy, removing impervious surfaces, rainwater harvesting and conservation landscaping to help reduce storm water runoff. This project is set to kick off soon.
