Construction is underway for the Pulaski Adult Day Service and Fall Prevention facility, funded through a partnership between Pulaski County, Pulaski Adult Day Service & Fall Prevention Center Inc., and the Department of Housing and Community Development’s Community Development Block Grant program.  Construction began in November of 2015, and the contractor has been making excellent progress despite the weather conditions common in late fall and early winter.

The finished building will be approximately 4,200 square feet and is designed to serve 30 elderly or disabled participants in addition to two exam rooms designated for the fall prevention clinic.  A large common room will host an assortment of activities as well as dining space with tables and chairs.  A smaller room provides options for small group activities or resting.  There are also plans for a fenced-in outdoor space and therapy garden.  The operating agency, Pulaski Adult Day Service & Fall Prevention Center, Inc., successfully reached its Capital Campaign goal of $500,000 by the end of 2015.  The facility is projected to open for service in the fall of 2016.  More information on the project can be found at https://www.pulaskiadultdayservice.org/
