The Town of Pulaski and James Hardie Industries recently completed a public sewer improvement project that will increase system reliability well into the future. The project significantly increases capacity on more than 2-miles of sewer main and reduces the daily stress that is currently experienced across multiple pump stations. The project also improves system reliability for James Hardie Industries by allowing the plant to continue operations when the public system requires maintenance or repair.

The Town of Pulaski partnered with the U.S. Economic Development Administration, Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, Appalachian Regional Commission, and the New River Valley Regional Commission to complete the project. The project was designed by Hurt and Proffitt and constructed by WGK Construction. The Commission is pleased to have supported the Town and its industry partner with grant writing and administration on this project.
