Working with County staff and administration, the Commission completed a draft recreation master plan for Montgomery County in January 2016. The plan identifies a unified mission of the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation (MCPR) department, its recreational assets, and what it needs to do over the next 20 years to respond to the growing population within the County. In order to know the needs of the County, a recreation survey was completed in October. Recommendations were taken from this survey and other research and reviewed with MCPR staff. After staff and administration review the draft plan the final plan will be presented to the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors in early 2016.
