Giles County is in the process of updating their Comprehensive Plan. This process of updating the Comprehensive Plan allows the County to assess the changes that have occurred within the County since the last update, evaluate current issues and practices, and adapt to changing state and other regulations.
The process will include identifying new goals, objectives, policies and strategies that reflect the County’s desires and local initiatives. Existing policies maybe revised to reflect current situations and future trends. The updated plan will reflect policies that have accomplished their objectives. The Giles County Planning Commission will be conducting monthly review of the updated sections of the Comprehensive Plan along with the supporting data and analysis. Giles County staff and Regional Commission staff are working together to complete this task within the next four to six months.
