The Virginia Telecommunication Initiative (VATI) extends broadband service to currently unserved areas. The goal of VATI is to create strong, competitive communities through the installation of telecommunications infrastructure.
Montgomery County has two VATI grants that will connect over 12,000 homes and/or businesses. It is anticipated that construction will begin in the spring of 2023 in the eastern portion of the county.
