The Additive Manufacturing and Advanced Materials (AM²) Hub Conference brought together over 100 leaders from industry, higher education, government, and workforce development to explore the future of manufacturing. Hosted by Virginia's AM² Tech Hub, the conference fostered connections within the region's advanced manufacturing ecosystem and discussed opportunities for adopting additive manufacturing and advanced materials technologies.

Along with energizing speakers, workshops, and panel discussions, participants got a behind-the-scenes look at the cutting-edge research being done at Virginia Tech College of Engineering labs and MELD PrintWorks.

With support from grants by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and GO Virginia, the AM² consortium has launched a new roadmap to create a global advanced manufacturing hub. The roadmap includes strategies such as building innovation studios, creating fellows programs, launching an AM² career network, and enhancing collaboration. To support implementation, the Tech Hub will seek state and federal funding. All interested parties are invited to join work groups focused on these four main strategy areas. Click the link to participate.
