Background: In 2015, Southwest Virginia communities, institutions, and businesses, including many of you, participated in the development of an open-access, shared Southwest Virginia identity package. We have the resulting shared brand. It connects the region’s revitalizing community centers, rich heritage, outdoor recreation opportunities and scenery to our educational and economic opportunities. We’re positioning the region as one of world class assets and distinct opportunity for exploration and investment, for entrepreneurship, education, and manufacturing.
Now the fun really begins. Representatives from the Southwest Virginia Cultural Heritage Foundation, Virginia Tourism Corporation, the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, and Arnett Muldrow and Associates are currently holding strategic conversations teams on the usage of the brand and the development of additional collateral materials.
