Erika Slagel-Perry, MPH

Erika Slagel-Perry joined the Regional Commission in 2025 and serves as the Education and Training Coordinator on the Community Health Team. In this role, she supports the Recovery Ecosystem by partnering with public school systems across the New River Valley to promote prevention and recovery education.

Erika brings over 20 years of experience in both public and medical health. Since relocating to the New River Valley more than a decade ago, she has worked extensively in integrated, collaborative care settings, providing her with valuable insight into the diverse needs of the region’s communities. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Old Dominion University.
