Each year the Regional Commission hosts a luncheon meeting of the chief elected officials and chief administrative officials from across the region. The purpose of the meeting is to provide brief updates on regional initiatives while each community shares their most pressing issues. Frequently, commonalities are identified among the pressing issues and the Regional Commission is able to provide support. This year the Mayors/Chairs met on November 1st and received an update on the Regional + Local Housing Study along with an update following a recent regional meeting of local government Emergency Managers who discussed river-based emergency response. Both issues were items identified in previous Mayors/Chairs meetings where the Regional Commission was in a position to provide support to address the items.
