Annual Dinner

The New River Valley Regional Commission 2019 Annual Dinner will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 6 pm at Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium South End Zone. (Parking is available in the stadium lot , campus map available here) This year we are celebrating the Commission’s 50th anniversary! Mobile Workshops will begin at 4:30 (see below). Heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available 6:00 – 7:30.  Wine and Roses, a  jazz band, will perform until 7:30.  At 7:30 there will be an awards program to recognize our award recipients:

Champion of the Valley – Mr. Nick Rush

Citizen of the Valley – Dr. Raymond Smoot

Friend of the Valley – Mr. John Smolak, Appalachian Power

Virginia Tech Master Plan

Virginia Tech Master Plan – VT Master Plan sets out a vision for each
of Virginia Tech’s campuses, building off of the goals, objectives and
aspirations of the 2016 Beyond Boundaries visioning document. The
Virginia Tech Master Plan provides recommendations for physical campus
interventions for academics and research, strategic partnerships, campus
life, landscape, and mobility

The workshop will be held in the Merryman Center conference room on Beamer Way next to the Stadium. Please park in the stadium lot.

Millstone Kitchen Tour

Join us as we take a sneak peek tour of Millstone Kitchen, the shared
commercial kitchen opening at the former Prices Fork Elementary
School. Operated by local non-profit, Beans and Rice, the kitchen will
provide value-added food producers, caterers, and other start-up food
entrepreneurs with convenient access to a certified kitchen and the
business support services they will need to successfully start and grow
their businesses.

The workshop will be held at 4237 Prices Fork Rd, Blacksburg, VA 24060.

Virginia Tech Athletics Tour

VT Athletics Tour – Join this tour to learn about the continued investments
in athletic facilities at Virginia Tech and what it takes to orchestrate
collegiate-level competitive events in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The workshop will begin at Lane stadium. Please park in the stadium lot.
